Craig revealed an early flair for the culinary arts by preparing and cooking his first Sunday roast at the age of 7.
Later, while travelling through Australia and Europe, he supported himself - and gained valuable experience - by working as a chef. His enthusiasm for a career in cooking grew and he returned to England to work in hotels and restaurants, eventually owning his own pub restaurant on the River Severn.
After 6 years in Shropshire, the lure of the sun and the desire for a new challenge brought Craig & Hilary to Cyprus - and Tweedie’s restaurant opened in the spring of 2004.

Their intention to keep it small and intimate has been achieved. All the food is freshly home-made each day and the tantalising, daily specials add an extra dimension to the carefully chosen menus.

Tweedie’s is non-smoking but both the comfortably furnished patio and the garden provide pleasant areas for chatting, smoking, pre dinner drinks or after dinner coffee.

The restaurant seats 30 and reservations are essential.
Tweedie’s is open Thursday to Monday evenings from 6pm.
The local theatre, ‘Stage One’ in Emba village, presents four plays a year and Tweedie’s offers pre-theatre suppers (in the restaurant) for all productions. Served from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., supper is €12.00 per person and includes chef’s soup of the day and a choice of 3 supper dishes. Desserts and drinks are extra. Booking is essential.
